Spontaneous flushing: ..is unusual but not unheard of. It is the result of rapid dilation of blood vessels...the question is why? Blood vessel dilation is controlled by the autonomic nervous system which also regulates heart and respiratory rate; it controls our fight-or flight mechanisms. You should discuss with your doctor and tests for autonomic dysfunction should be considered. I don't think it's allergic.
