CK: Talk to your husband's doctor about what the problem is and what you should be doing about it. If its elevated from pumping too much iron all that may be needed is rest. If he has a heart attack that's another thing entirely, need to know your husband's situation; his doctor should.

Keep pumping iron: The reference range for creatine kinase is set based on the assumption that you do not exercise. In my series of medical students, all the men and the majority of the women who lead even moderately fitness-focused lifestyles have high creatine kinase -- often very high. If you're healthy, be proud of yourself and keep doing what you're doing.
