Being an avid fan: Can be hard, especially when your team loses. Those who strongly identify with a team tend to experience significant feelings of loss (like losing a loved one), which is associated with hormonal and neurochemical changes. These chemical changes can also affect health including feeling sick. Avid fans also tend to have poorer lifestyle habits following a loss, which may make the sick feeling worse.

Team: Sure, it's tough when your team loses, but let me ask you, is this team the only thing in your life? Do you have other interests beside sports? Sometimes people wind up being defined by too much sports in their lives and nowhere nearly defined by anything else such as relationships, occupations, and anything else aside from sports. Sports are games, and this needs to be kept in perspective.
