Possible: If your period is late and you are having symptoms of pregnancy, it is possible that you simply did the test too soon. Repeat the test in 3-5 days to be sure. Hope this helps.

Possible: home pregnancy tests are very accurate but maybe could miss very early pregnancy. Recheck pregnancy test in one week.
