Pain: Try taking some antiinflammatories like Ibuprofen unless you have a history of ulcers or kidney disease. Rest it a bit. If the pain doesn't subside enough to get up and walk, you should see a physician. Most episodes of back pain clear up in a few days to a few weeks. Most are caused by muscle strain.
