Ecchymosis: Black eye after trauma takes many weeks to resolve. Apply warm compress to the affected eye will speed up resolution.

Bruised Eye: It depends on how your eye got injured. I am assuming you were struck by something. It would not be unusual for the bruising to last for a very long time around the eye, this is common. Depending on how you were injured, it would also be expected that there would be discomfort in the bones around your eye for quite some time. This could last for up to six months in some cases. Get checked again if you have ongoing concerns.
