Safe: Zyprexa (olanzapine) is slow to be eliminated by your body so a decrease from 5 to 2.5 mg (doesn't come in 2 mg strength) should not cause withdrawal symptoms. However, do check with your prescribing doctor if you have any discomfort or questions including the one you asked here. Make sure you have and keep follow-up appointments. I hope you do well on the lower dose.
