Large populations: Our ever-enlarging population puts stress on every system that we have to maintain society. Agriculture, energy production, resource management, police protection, and transportation are all profoundly affected. In fact, practically nothing we do anymore is solely a local problem. There are many great books addressing this. Read up! We need people educated about the issues to help.
