Irregular bleed: Sometimes some women will have an irregular period which can be excessive bleeding, not as much bleeding, longer bleeding, shorter bleeding, etc. Sometimes our hormones are off for some reason or another on a given month causing the above symptoms and this is not something we get too concerned about unless it is happening all the time. if you are bleeding past 14 days see your doctor. Best wishes.

See doctor: best to see your gyn doctor. Need proper evaluation to determine cause and appropriate treatment. Common causes include what we call dysfunctional uterine bleeding, fibroids, bleeding endometrial polyps, infection, missed miscarriage along with others. Again please see your doctor for evaluation. Hope this was helpful. Best of luck. Dr. R
