Can shingles cause back pain and leg weakness? all other disorders have been ruled out.

Possibly: Yes, though weakness is a little unusual unless the pain is severe. Do you have a rash? It would be one sided if shingles. You should see your GP or a walk in clinic or at least call your provincial nurse line. It's hard, incidentally, for anyone to "rule out all other causes" (of anything). If you have already seen your doc, it might be time for another opinion. Be persistent.

Not likely.: While pain is certainly a symptom of shingles, which can be present before the rash appears, it is not usual for it to cause weakness. See a neurologist and/or get a second opinion.
