Many choices: The sore throat may be a problem with oral hygiene or with what you may be eating or drinking close to bedtime. Another possibility is reflux that may be increased when you lay down and causing your throat to be exposed to stomach acid when you sleep. Can try not eating or drinking for several hours before lying down. Gargle with mouthwash before bed. Elevate head of bed slightly to lessen reflux
