Stop Depo is Rx: Stopping the depo shot is the treatment for irregular spotting as unfortunately, that is typical with this method of contraception.

To be expected: Sorry that this possible occurrence was not explained to you by your doctor. This should resolve within the next 3 to 4 months and the second shot should not cause bleeding. If this is more than you can bear for this period there are shots or pills that could stop the bleeding but come with there own side effects. I hope you are better soon.
