Yes: If you have blood in your stool you may want to speak to your gi doc. Presumably you have an issue since you are already have a "gi doc"

Bloody: Light colored or pink blood on the stool suggests a hemorrhoid or anal fissure as a cause rather than inflammatory bowel disease,diverticulosis or a growth. Nevertheless it is abnormal and it's a good idea to check it out with your Physician or gastroenterologist for peace of mind.
