Embolus : to get an air embolus the injection needs to be directly into a vein. An IM injection is unlikely to do this.

Having severe back pain & some chest pressure. Saw the dr & asked about pulmonary embolism (I have anxiety). Had a chest xray. Can this be seen on an xray? If one was present would something indicate for further testing from xray? Good bp & pulse ox?
