Irregular bleeding: The contraceptive implant/rod (Implanon/Nexplanon) is a progestin only method which is prone to irregular spotting which can take many forms. In your case it looks like clots, which is not concerning unless the clots are large, persistently happening, or associated with a bad smell/itching. This sounds normal and will usually improve w/ time. It's a great method of birth control.

Please see your GP: Given what you are describing I would call your doctor and see him/her. You should have a pelvic exam to see what is going on. You did not say if you were sexually active, but if you are, you should have tests for venereal diseases. Please get checked so you will not worry about this. Thank you.
