Not always and STD: Prostatitis/prostodynia isn't always caused by an STD. Any bacteria that can cause a bladder infection (such as e-coli) can cause it. Sometimes it is from trauma. Riding a bicycle, for example, can give you prostatitis/prostodynia. Sometimes the cause is never found and cultures for bacteria are repeatedly negative. Oil is unlikely to harbor STDs. Best wishes!
