Not specific : A high WBC count is not specific, but indicates a certain degree of inflammation. This can be from viral or bacterial infections, or even other non infectious inflammatory conditions. Any other symptoms? With prolonged fevers for that long, he needs to be seen by his primary care doctor. Has he truly had a fever (>100.4) every single day during those three weeks?

Esr and wbc: Unfortunately these results reflect the fever. Isn't your doctor doing something to help your son? If not have a friend or family member to refer you to a doctor who would do a better job. Do not delay!
