Maybe nothing...: If no other symptoms, it should be safe to see if it recurs. See a doctor if you also develop rectal pain, bleeding, or diarrhea, or if mucus appears repeatedly. Also see a doctor right away if at risk for STDs (new partner, partner with other partners, etc), especially if you parcipate in anal sex. This could be a symptom of a rectal STD like gonorrhea or chlamydia, but of course only if at risk.

No: Mucus in the stool occasionally is quite common and usually of no concern unless it is persistent. Occasionally it can accompany other conditions such as irritable bowel disease. If your having no other symptoms it's unlikely to be of significance. The white color is not unusual. No need to run to the doctor at this point, but if it persists see your Dr.
