Doesn't sound scary: As long as there is no redness etc extending widely in the area, this should clear up without problem. See a doctor if wider redness, fever, or if it closes up again, or if it doesn't seem to be improving over the next few days. Location on the scrotum is no more dangerous than skin anywhere on the body.
