First physical check: You first want to be sure that you are stable physically. So physical exam , blood tests including thyroid test should be done by your physician. A psychiatric evaluation is also in order to evaluate your depression. The treatment plan may include psychotherapy and or medication. Sometimes hunger comes from underlying psychological issues that have to worked out in therapy.
