One per day: Birth control pills need to be taken once per day. Otherwise they are not effective and they will trigger breakthrough bleeding. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available at any pharmacy. Consider switching to a nondaily method such as an IUD or Nexplanon
