My son is 9 and has had a small knot on the side of his neck on the left side since he was 3 and today it looked bigger,he isn't in bad health and the knot doesn't hurt?

See your doctor: You need to see your pediatrician. The lump may be an enlarged lymph node or branchial cleft cyst. If it becomes red, painful or increases in size rapidly, then you will need to see the doctor urgently.
