Is there any where apart from the back to get injections for sciatica pain n degenerative disc in the lower back?

What is the source?: Sciatica is commonly caused by a disk protrusion in the lower back in a young person. There are other less common causes such as piriformis syndrome (hip area). While a lumbar epidural steroid injection in the lower back can help if a disk is pressing on the nerve there. It is not going to help if the cause of the sciatica is somewhere else. MRI and examination can help pin point the cause.
