Is it possible to ovulate and get pregnant again while already pregnant with a pregnancy that has failed but hasn't yet been expelled from the uterus?

Not successfully: It is indeed possible to ovulate before spontaneously expelling a failed pregnancy but it is not common and the chances of a successful pregnancy would be so rare as to be considered a reportable case.
