No: Please don't try to change the natural color of your skin. Even if you live among people who are so ignorant that they judge others by skin color, you won't be happy with the result and you risk disfiguring yourself. Here in the US, which sets world trends, each person cherishes the particular skin tone that nature gave them. Work on other aspects of looking good (fitness, conditioning).

Hydroquinone: Skin whitening products are good for treating age spots and sun damage, but aren't recommended if you are trying to lighten your entire complexion (would be too much product, very expensive with not permanent results.) Hydroquinone is a powerful lightening agent, but should only be used for 6 weeks at a time, not daily use. Other products like Lytera can maintain the tone.
