Sinus? Jaw?: Need a diagnosis. Pain in the ear could be due to acute ear infection that can respond to antibiotics, but it could be due to something else. How were you diagnosed and when did you start the antibiotic? If it is a sinus infection, then a long course of treatment is sometimes required, but I feel that CT-sinus scan and ENT evaluation is warranted to rule out mimickers. Could be jaw, gland, etc.
