Depends: Normal saline solution(NSS) designed for eye irrigation is ok, but not all NSS is "eye friendly". Some contain preservatives not intended for eye use, like nasal saline solution. When in doubt , ask a pharmacist or your MD if you are using NSS intended for eye use.
