Cold v allergy: If cold medicine (which usually contains an antihistamine) helps your runny nose, you likely have an allergy. A cold does not usually last for more than 10 days . Allergy is often associated with itching but never a fever as may happy with a cold. If you are still uncertain, see your doctor.
