Rib cage inflammatio: If you cough violently, the rid cage will get irritation (costochrondritis). You need to get your asthma under control to prevent this from happening. Uncontrolled asthma affects your quality of life at the minimum and your life at the maximum.

Asthma: It is clear your asthma is not controlled you need to see your doctor to provide you with a plan for controlling your asthma including your rescue inhaler or albuterol by nebulizer, a maintenance steroid inhaler & propably singulair (montelukast) & avoid triggers like smoking & passive smoking, dust, animal dandruff & so on. It is also allergy season. So take care & see your 1ry care physician.
