Yes, safe: California produced almonds are required to be pasteurized prior to sale by 1 of 3 methods: Roasting or blanching, steam or Polyethylene oxide contact. The almonds are then ground finely and mixed with water in clean vessels to produce the milk. I cannot comment on almond milk produced outside the USA. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
