Odd: to only have period flow when you urinate is not common. Would wonder about an imperforate hymen or other obstruction to the menstrual flow. Recommend gyn evaluation as this is not normal. Not harmful in most cases (unless products of menses build up and block vagina) but not normal. Hope this was helpful. Dr R
