Parents vs children: While we often (jokingly) blame our gray/grey hair on our children, we really should be looking towards our parents as hair color is genetically determined. Unfortunately, there's no way to change our parents (or children), so best way to combat gray/grey hair is to color your hair.

Graying of hair is: related to genetic predisposition. Age of initial graying is largely a matter of genetics. However stressors: nutritional deficiencies, chemotherapy, traumatic head injuries, low vitamin B levels, zinc deficiency, severe illness, surgery & marked emotional stress may impact earlier depigmentation in people who are already predisposed to gray hair.
