Herpes: This is how the viral infection or re-currence of the virus manifests in the human. It infects a piece of skin. As it heals the virus migrates to the nerve cells that control that area of skin. Re-current outbreaks can be due to a aggressive virus, to stress and fatigue and skin irritation.
