Hi, i have a lump in my sternal notch that is pretty firm. ultrasound says "may" be a lipoma, watch for interval growth. its bigger. thoughts?

Should re-evaluate: While lipomas are frequent and can enlarge over time, they don't tend to be 'firm'. Any enlarging soft tissue mass should be re-evaluated by your PCP with potential further imaging for further characterization.

Doubt it: lipoma are usually soft specially in this location It is hard for me to say it is not without feeling it or seeing it. I am depending on the location and description. there is higher possibility that it is part of the sternum than it is a lipoma. any way if it is too visible or causing you a problem you can ask to have it removed.
