OK to take it: Slightly confusing -- sounds like you had been prescribed azithromycin for something else (respiratory or skin infection?), then learned you also have chlamydia? Anyway, go ahead and take the 1000 mg dose. It won't hurt anything and will take care of the chlamydial infection. In fact, it will probably be enough to manage whatever other infection you have. If in doubt, discuss with your doctor.
