Side effect: Oral iron has many known and sometimes expected side effects including dizziness/nausea. Sometimes these resolve with continued use. Dizziness/shortness of breath occurs with iron infusions, but is thought to be related to dextran in those infusions and not the iron. Discuss side effect with your doc; may choose to lower dose or suggest taking with food (less absorption esp if contains oxalates)
