Follow Instructions: there are many variables which affect the answer. ITS BEST TO FOLLOW YOUR SURGEON'S INSTRUCTIONS. In general rinse only lightly to clear blood or debris from mouth. Excessive rinsing can wash away the clot and make the extraction site bleed. Eat soft food sparingly and rinse lightly after eating. Report pain, foul taste, pus, bleeding, swelling to your Surgeon.
