Hi, i was wondering how a depressed wound would potentially heal. it's almost 3 weeks old. do they fill in from the bottom up or from the sides? thank you!

1 year: for most wounds and scars to become stable usually takes up to a year. It first becomes thicker as it first head and then shrinks some. If the wound is depressed it may come out even but it may take many mi=onths to a year to know for sure.

Wound healing : is a complex process where granulation tissue forms at the base and tissue grows in from the sides. if it's a large wound you should be seeing a physician.
