HPV is an STD: HPV-the Human Papilloma Virus is collection of viruses that are generally transmitted through sexual contact but some strains can be transferred easier than others - such as a mother kissing a child can pass one strain that can lead to warts on fingers so it is not strictly sexually transmitted like most STDs. The more damaging forms, however, are transmitted sexually. Vaccinate early!
