No: It doesn't sound like this is normal for you so it isn't normal. Some women, especially those on very low dose pills, will have a period that starts out normal but then fades away later in the day but normal varies from woman to woman and something that is unusual for you is abnormal. Check with your doctor to see what is going on and check a pregnancy test if you have been having unprotected sex.

Common problem: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections & hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do a home pregnancy test . There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.
