Calories: weight gain or loss is a matter of calories--- 3500 calories= 1 pound. unlikely PCOS is causing weight gain. more likely that weight gain caused PCOS. see your doctor for true unexplained weight gain

Check labs: Pts with pcos often have issues with insulin resistance where the cells in the body become resistant to insulin causing an increase in insulin levels and blood glucose levels. Often we use metformin to help. You will also need a strict nutrition regimen with exercise to decrease weight as well. Use a food diary for an honest look at your calorie intake
