Some thing else: Gall bladder was not the cause of your pain and the cause needs to be ascertained. This forum is not suitable for the issue as it needs additional history, physical examination and likely some tests. It would be prudent to consult a doctor other than who removed the gall bladder.

Other problem?: Retained stones in the duct can cause similar pain as prior to gallbladder removal. Stomach problems such as ulcers or gastritis can also be the cause. See your doctor/surgeon. You obviously need further evaluation if you still have the pain after surgery. You may need an upper endoscopy to evaluate the stomach for ulcers.
