8 months trying: If you are under 30, wait 12 months ( only wait 6 months if over 30) . Then see a doctor to check your husbands sperm count and make sure you are ovulating every month. If you have regular cycles every 25 to 35 days, then you are ovulating 99% of the time. Also, check to make sure you tubes are open by doing an x-ray called an HSG.
