COPD: I am not aware of any over-the-counter medications available for COPD. If you are having any problems with shortness of breath coughing especially with activity, I highly recommend that you go to the emergency room or an urgent care for further evaluation and treatment. There may be more going on with you than just a diagnoses COPD.

Depends on Symptoms: 48 year old female asks What over the counter medicine, can I take, till I see a doctor, for COPD? Since COPD has no cure, it depends on the symptoms one is having; cough w/ w/o fever, congestion, shortness of breath, etc. For these are OTC Cough medications, Decongestants, Antihistamines and fever reducers like Tylenol/ Ibuprofen. Stopping smoking helps when applicable. Ultimately see MD.
