Time: This is a very common...Even normal occurance. It can take several weeks for your voice to return to normal. Occasionally even speech therapy can be helpful. If your symptoms are not resolving after a few weeks an ENT doc can be helpful to take a look at your throat.

Depends: People can have a slightly hoarse voice and a sore throat after intubation, this will resolve and should get better in a couple of days. However, if there is complete loss of voice(or very hoarse), or if it is taking longer-this is not typical and could be a sign of a problem. Uncommonly, the arytenoid cartilage can be dislocated. Don't delay if one is still very hoarse after a couple of days.
