Constipation: Has she pooped yet? Miralax (polyethylene glycol) is a stool softener, if her problem is constipation it will help her become more regular.

Yes: Mirilax helps the stool retain moisture and thus never get so dry/compacted it can't be pushed out. It often takes 4-6 days to work itself down into the troubled part of the large intestine on a slow emptying kid.It is safe to use for months at a time. Occasionally these kids will need an enema to remove the plug. Work with your doc.This issue often takes months to stabalize.
