Small vessel: Rosacea is a condition that may cause a circulation appearance of the face. Raynaud's phenomena is a small vessel disease of the hands and feet. There are also Connective Tissue diseases such as Lupus, that may have facial, as well as extremity involvement. If the face discoloration follows across the bridge of the nose, then a "Butterfly Rash" of Lupus (SLE) should be a concern.
