A thought: Do you wear pants with a metal fastener? Does wearing jewelry ever cause skin irritation? A thought that comes to mind is nickel allergy, which can usually be diagnosed by history. Patch testing can confirm. If not nickel, some form of contact irritation or allergy seems likely given the small area of involvement. A Dermatologist or Allergist can help.
