Eye color: Eye color is based on more than just the parents' eye color. Other genetics of eye color that may not be apparent but can be passed down also play a role. Depends: Since brown is a dominant gene, you could both have it while carrying a non-dominant gene for another color like blue.If you or your partner have a pair of brown genes, all your offspring would be expected to have brown eyes.If you both carry only one brown gene, the baby might get the non-brown gene from both (1/4 chance) and have eyes that are not brown.
