Consider preg test: I would check a pregnancy test, to make sure you are not pregnant. That said, periods are complicated and if the new pattern continues, I'd recommend an evaluation, to make sure you are not losing too much blood.

Platelets should be 150-400. Last month mine were 463. Yesterday they were 560ish. Have been high for around 1 year. Suffer long heavy periods at times. Had a 6 month daily period. Stopped 2 days ago. When to worry high platelets cause blood clots?
